"Growing up, I don’t remember knowing the names of CEOs."
I barely knew who Pierre Berge was lol but it's true, even fashion CEOs have been talking way too much in public, as I said on TFS they need to go back to their cubicles
I'm not against a strong founder/company association but the consumer now has to make a conscious and political choice when they consume goods and use platforms.
I agree, but I also think in fashion it has a different dimension
e.g. I do not care to hear what an Arnault or Pinault has to say about the design direction of LV or the Burberry CEOs at Burberry it's like they don't know their place (i.e. they aren't the designer or any creative) and suggests a disrespect for the people actually conceptualising and making their clothes/accessories. Which is clear anyway from the creative director musical chairs but even more distasteful when they publicly push themselves forward as the de facto face of the brand.
I'm not surprised Bernard A and his heirs are doing the suckup, rich people are their clients and they will put profits over ethics (see also: Dior $57 bags), but their actually showing up so publicly? That was unusual.

This reminds me I wanted to mention the presence of the Arnault family at the inauguration: https://nypost.com/2025/01/24/business/why-lvmh-ceo-bernard-arnault-and-heirs-were-at-trump-inauguration/

Mammoths are a priority ! 🦣 They could have a positive impact for global warming. And let's face it, this is a child dream coming true.
Didn’t know about the global warming effect!
